An exciting 18-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced lawyer

Ideally with a strong background in employment law, to join a global legal services platform in a broad, commercially focused role spanning contracts, risk, compliance and legal innovation. Role Overview

As Commercial Legal & Risk Manager, you'll provide practical legal and commercial advice, negotiate agreements and help manage regulatory and operational risk. You'll collaborate with legal, risk, HR and other specialist teams while supporting matters across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, consultants and third parties.
  • Advise on contractual, regulatory, compliance and risk matters, including cross-border engagements.
  • Support employment-related, conflicts, data protection and other legal issues.
  • Develop effective policies, processes and controls to manage legal and commercial risk.
  • Work with specialist teams to resolve complex regulatory and operational matters.
  • Support the implementation of AI and legal technology to improve legal processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to operational teams.

Requirements

You'll be a qualified lawyer with 5+ years' PQE, gained within a leading law firm or comparable in-house environment, with strong commercial judgement, contract negotiation skills and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders.

  • Employment law experience would be highly desirable, alongside an interest in AI and legal technology.
  • Exposure to alternative legal services, legal resourcing or a similar professional services environment would be advantageous.
