The Role

Eclectic Recruitment is working with a leading global law firm seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate (3–5 PQE) to join its London disputes team.

The practice handles some of the most complex and significant domestic and international disputes in the market, including:

  • Contractual disputes
  • Business torts
  • Shareholder disputes
  • Competition matters
  • Other high-stakes commercial litigation

The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across the lifecycle of major disputes, including:

  • Drafting
  • Legal research
  • Evidence and document analysis
  • Development of case and trial strategy
  • Attendance at court hearings

This is particularly well suited to an ambitious litigator who enjoys the intellectual and strategic side of disputes and wants greater exposure to complex cross-border matters and high-level written advocacy.

About you

  • 3–5 PQE with strong commercial litigation experience
  • Experience gained wholly or partly within a leading commercial law firm
  • Exposure to complex and/or cross-border disputes
  • Excellent academics and strong technical ability
  • High-quality legal drafting and written advocacy skills
  • Commercial, proactive, and comfortable taking responsibility
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
