Track Legal is working exclusively with a highly successful UK law firm in London looking to make a new Partner hire into its thriving Commercial Litigation practice. This has genuine potential to quickly become a Head of Department role.
This is a particularly compelling opportunity for an ambitious commercial litigation specialist who wants to join a firm with genuine momentum behind it. The firm has grown significantly in recent years and has considerable further ambition, backed by a substantial national platform, an impressive client base, and a highly regarded disputes practice.
Importantly, this is not a role where a Partner is expected to arrive with a substantial portable following and simply fend for themselves. It would suit a senior lawyer looking for their first step up to Partner or a Partner looking for their next lateral move.
- There is already a significant amount of litigation work ready for the new hire to pick up referred from teams across the firm.
- An opportunity for the incoming Partner to take ownership of, and develop, existing client relationships and matters.
- The wider platform also provides considerable scope for referrals and cross-selling across an established national client base.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a track record of originating work and developing client relationships, together with the appetite to continue building their practice in London.
The successful individual is likely to have a broad commercial disputes practice, encompassing:
- Contractual and corporate disputes
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Contentious commercial matters
- Complex High Court litigation

For a strong commercial litigator who has perhaps reached the ceiling of their current platform – or who wants greater autonomy and a more meaningful role in the development of a growing London practice – this offers a genuinely exciting proposition.
Applications are welcomed from established Partners and ambitious senior lawyers of 8+ PQE with a demonstrable track record of winning and developing client work. A substantial portable following is not a prerequisite.
