Commercial Litigation Partner – Birmingham

Are you a Commercial Litigation Partner with a strong following and looking for your next move?

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading international law firm seeking to appoint an ambitious Commercial Litigation Partner to join its Birmingham office.

This is a strategic hire for the firm and would suit an established Partner with a strong reputation in the market, a demonstrable client following and the ambition to develop their practice within a genuinely international platform.

The successful candidate will join an established and highly regarded disputes practice, advising a broad range of national and international clients on complex and high-value commercial disputes.

The Opportunity

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Take a leading role within the Birmingham commercial litigation team.
  • Develop and grow your existing client following with the support of an international firm.
  • Advise major corporates, institutions, shareholders, directors and other sophisticated clients on complex commercial disputes.
  • Work alongside lawyers across the firm's international network on cross-border matters.
  • Play an active role in the continued growth and strategic development of the Birmingham disputes practice.
  • Build relationships with new clients and identify opportunities to expand your practice.
  • Benefit from the firm's strong international brand, infrastructure and breadth of expertise.

About You

The firm is looking for an established Commercial Litigation Partner who can demonstrate:

  • A strong track record in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
  • An established and credible client following.
  • A proven ability to generate and develop new business.
  • Excellent technical and commercial skills.
  • Strong relationships within the corporate and professional services market.
  • The ambition to grow their practice as part of an international law firm.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams and jurisdictions.
  • A portable practice is important for this appointment, although the firm is equally interested in understanding the quality and potential of your client relationships and future pipeline.
