A leading national law firm is looking to appoint a Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced disputes lawyer to join a market-leading practice acting for major corporates, insurers, financial institutions, public sector organisations and commercial clients on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes. The role offers exposure to nationally significant work, genuine progression opportunities and the chance to become a key figure within a growing Yorkshire team.
Your new role
Working as part of a collaborative and nationally recognised disputes practice, you will manage a varied caseload while supporting strategic client relationships and business development initiatives.
Your work is likely to include:
- Complex commercial contract disputes
- Shareholder, partnership and director disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Business-critical injunctions and emergency relief applications
- Financial and regulatory disputes
- Contentious insolvency matters
- Procurement and public sector disputes
- Breach of warranty and commercial transaction disputes
- ADR, mediation and settlement negotiations
- High Court and multi-track litigation

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- 6+ years' PQE gained within a recognised commercial litigation practice
- Strong experience handling complex and high-value disputes
- Proven ability to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy
- Excellent client management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation abilities
- A commercial mindset with an interest in business development
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience
