Commercial Litigation Solicitor

Location: Cambridge or North Herts

Salary: £45,000 + (DOE)

We are working with a well-established law firm, who are seeking a Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their expanding Dispute Resolution team.

This is a great opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on a wide-ranging and interesting caseload of commercial and commercial chancery disputes, in a firm that offers real scope for career growth and a genuinely team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Running your own caseload of commercial disputes, spanning contract and business disagreements, shareholder and partnership breakdowns, and chancery-related matters, with support from senior colleagues where needed.
  • Acting for company directors, shareholders, partnerships, and private individuals on matters including debt recovery, professional negligence, property disputes, and applications for injunctions or other urgent remedies.
  • Assisting Partners and senior fee earners with more complex work, while giving clients clear, commercially sound advice and a consistently high standard of service.
  • Helping to develop junior colleagues and playing a part in the team's broader knowledge-sharing and professional development.
  • Cultivating lasting client relationships and getting involved in the firm's marketing and business development activity to help the practice grow.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE and a solid grounding in commercial litigation.
  • Sound technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a practical, business-minded approach to resolving disputes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport easily with clients and colleagues alike.
  • A supportive, team-focused mindset paired with real ambition to progress and help the department expand.
  • A genuine interest in networking and business development, with an eagerness to raise your own professional profile.
