A leading law firm is looking to appoint a Commercial Disputes Associate to join its highly regarded Litigation & Dispute Resolution team in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest commercial disputes teams outside London, acting for a diverse client base ranging from entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses to major UK and international organisations. You'll work on high-value, complex disputes across a broad range of sectors while benefiting from genuine responsibility, excellent mentoring, and clear progression opportunities.

The Role

You'll work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload while also taking ownership of your own matters. The team advises on a wide spectrum of commercial disputes, including both domestic and cross-border matters.

The work includes:

  • High-value commercial litigation and dispute resolution
  • Litigation, arbitration, mediation, adjudication, and expert determination
  • Dispute avoidance and strategic advisory work
  • Opportunities to develop specialist expertise in areas such as fraud, reputation management, procurement, confidential information, and asset tracing
  • Acting for clients across banking, real estate, infrastructure, energy, food & drink, private equity, manufacturing, and retail

About You

You'll be a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with approximately 1-4 years' PQE and have:

  • Experience handling a broad range of commercial disputes
  • Strong technical, drafting, and analytical skills
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to client service
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • A collaborative mindset with ambitions to develop your career within a leading disputes practice
