Commercial Litigation Solicitor – 1+ PQE
Leeds | £55,000–£70,000 + Benefits | Hybrid Working
Oculus Legal Group is working with a leading national law firm looking to appoint a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE to join its established and highly regarded disputes team in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Litigation Solicitor looking to develop their career within a successful national practice, gaining exposure to high-quality, complex disputes and an impressive national client base.
You will work alongside experienced Partners and senior lawyers within a supportive and collaborative team, providing an excellent platform to continue developing your technical expertise while taking on increasing levels of responsibility and direct client contact.
The firm has a strong pipeline of work and offers genuine long-term career progression, alongside opportunities to become increasingly involved in client relationships, networking and business development as your career develops.
The Role
You will work as part of an experienced Commercial Litigation team advising clients across a broad range of contentious matters.

Responsibilities will include:
- Managing and supporting on a varied caseload of commercial disputes
- Advising on contractual and wider commercial disputes
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex, high-value and technically challenging litigation
- Managing matters through the court litigation process
- Drafting correspondence, pleadings and other legal documentation
- Undertaking legal research and providing commercially focused advice
- Developing direct relationships with clients
- Working closely with Partners and senior lawyers on complex matters
- Becoming increasingly involved in business development, networking and profile-raising activities as you progress
The Candidate
The firm is looking for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor with 1+ years’ PQE who can demonstrate:
- Experience within Commercial Litigation / Dispute Resolution
- Exposure to a varied range of commercial disputes
- A good understanding of court litigation processes
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- The ability to provide pragmatic and commercially focused advice
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Ambition to continue developing within Commercial Litigation

Salary & Benefits
Salary: £55,000–£70,000, depending on experience.
