I’m currently working with a highly regarded specialist law firm on an exciting opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join their Manchester team.
The firm operates within the sports and media sectors, advising a range of high-profile clients on complex and often high-profile matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their contentious experience within a genuinely niche and interesting area of law.
The role
Joining an established team of specialist contentious lawyers, you will be involved in a broad range of disputes and regulatory matters, including:
- Advising clients on disputes and regulatory matters within the sports sector.
- Handling commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes.
- Advising on disciplinary and regulatory investigations.
- Working on matters involving sporting governing bodies and dispute resolution forums.
- Advising on a range of contentious issues affecting clubs, athletes, agents and other organisations.
- Working closely with experienced lawyers and high-profile clients.
- Supporting business development and helping to develop the firm's disputes practice.

About you
The firm is looking for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor from NQ to 4 PQE, although candidates outside of this range may also be considered where they have the right experience.
You should have:
- Qualified solicitor status in England & Wales.
- Strong academics and excellent communication skills.
- Experience within Dispute Resolution / Commercial Litigation.
- An interest in sports, media or regulatory work.
- Sports and media experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- A commercial and entrepreneurial approach.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends where required.
