Commercial Management Accountant
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Salary: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 pa
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Management Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis within a fast-paced manufacturing organisation.
You will be working for a well-established and growing UK engineering business specialising in the manufacture and servicing of wide bandsaws, alongside the supply and servicing of precision tooling to customers across the UK. With around 65 employees operating across four sites, the company has grown significantly in recent years, both organically and through acquisition. Our Head Office is based in Wiveliscombe, Somerset, an attractive rural location on the edge of the Quantock Hills, offering the benefits of countryside surroundings while remaining within a comfortable commute of Taunton and the wider Somerset area.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of the Finance function, the Commercial Management Accountant is responsible for the production of the monthly accounts pack but, due to good systems, this is only 10% of the role.
- The bulk of this role is forward looking. This role spends time with the commercial teams ensuring that prices reflect costs and that margins are protected but also that the market is understood and customers valued.
- Working closely with the commercial teams also means that budgets and forecasts reflect a true picture.
- In addition, the company is acquisitive and there will be the opportunity of involvement in these projects.

Requirements:
- Candidates must be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferably with experience gained within a manufacturing business.
- The role demands more than just technical competence; it needs someone with interpersonal skills and commercial acumen.
- The company is multi-site, so a small degree of travel will probably be needed.
- What is definitely needed is the desire to work within a company where values are real and where you can make a real impact.
