🏢 Praxis Facilities Management (PFM)
đź’° Competitive salary + discretionary bonus
A commercial finance role with real influence.
Praxis Facilities Management (PFM) is growing, developing new income streams and taking on increasingly complex contracts.
We’re looking for a Commercial Management Accountant who can do more than produce the numbers, someone who can understand what is driving performance, challenge where needed and help the business make better commercial decisions.
This is a hands-on role with genuine exposure to site budgets, contracts, clients, revenue, margins and operational performance, working closely with PFM’s operational leaders, contract managers, budget holders and senior management.
You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the finance processes and controls that support the next stage of PFM’s growth, while providing clear commercial insight to the wider business.
What will you be doing?
Commercial analysis & insight
- Review revenue, costs and margins across income streams.
- Analyse profitability by site, contract, client and service line.
- Build financial models to assess commercial options and decisions.
- Work with operational teams to improve cost recovery, recharges and margin control.
- Provide clear commercial advice and analysis to senior management.
Management accounting & reporting
- Own PFM’s management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and supporting schedules.
- Manage site budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities early.
- Analyse and explain variances across sites, contracts, service lines and income channels.
- Ensure income is billed accurately and on time.
- Produce concise reporting that explains not just what the numbers are, but what they mean and what action is needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Systems, controls & process improvement
- Help design and implement finance processes for new income streams, contracts and services.
- Strengthen controls around budgeting, pricing, billing, recharges, purchasing, revenue recognition and reporting.
- Use Sage Intacct to improve reporting, data quality, dimensions and workflows.
- Find practical ways to simplify and automate routine finance activity, including using AI where it can genuinely improve processes and insight.
Business partnering
- Build strong relationships with operational leaders, site teams, contract managers and budget holders.
- Challenge constructively and help colleagues understand the financial impact of their decisions.
- Make finance accessible to non-finance stakeholders and help them take ownership of their budgets and results.
- Support the Financial Controller and senior management team with commercial analysis and project work.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a commercially minded management accountant (ideally from a real estate, facilities or property background) who is comfortable getting into the detail but can also step back and understand the wider business.
You’ll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA – part/newly qualified, or equivalent senior-level experience.
- Strong management accounting experience across budgets, forecasts, management accounts and variance analysis.
- Commercial finance or FP&A experience, with the ability to turn financial information into practical business advice.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems, large data sets and reporting tools.
- Experience implementing or improving finance processes and controls.
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders, challenge appropriately and explain financial information in plain English.
