Commercial Management Trainee
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Type: Full-Time | On Site
Before you can manage commercial results, you need to understand where they actually come from.
Myriad is looking for a Commercial Management Trainee to develop from hands-on commercial experience into greater responsibility across people, campaigns and business performance. You'll start close to the part of the business that drives growth — customers, sales and revenue, before building a broader understanding of business development, campaign management and leadership. This is a sales-based commercial management pathway, not a finance, procurement or office-based management position.

Build Your Commercial Foundation
You'll initially focus on:
- Sales and customer acquisition
- Building customer relationships and understanding their needs
- Representing brands across live campaigns
- Understanding revenue, targets and commercial performance
- Developing communication and negotiation skills
- Contributing to client and campaign growth
Develop Towards Management
Once you've built that foundation, you'll begin gaining exposure to the wider business:
- Business development and commercial growth
- Campaign planning and performance
- Coaching and developing team members
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Team leadership and goal setting
- Client objectives and business operations
The aim is to develop someone who understands how results are generated before taking responsibility for managing those results and the people behind them.

We're looking for someone who is commercially curious, confident communicating with people, motivated by results and comfortable taking responsibility. You should be coachable, resilient and genuinely interested in understanding how a business grows.
