Key Responsibilities
- Leading the commercial function across multiple infrastructure projects, ensuring robust contractual administration and financial control.
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Managing main contracts, subcontracts, and associated obligations throughout project lifecycles.
- Overseeing project budgets, forecasts, and reporting to drive project profitability.
- Negotiating and settling contractual variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Supporting procurement activities and overseeing supply chain performance.
- Managing and developing the commercial team, fostering a high-performing environment.
- Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to ensure commercial issues are effectively managed and opportunities realised.
Ideal Candidates
- Proven experience managing commercial activities within construction, energy, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract frameworks such as NEC, FIDIC, and similar.
- Demonstrable expertise in project cost control, forecasting, claims, and final accounts.
- Excellent negotiation and contractual drafting skills.
- Ability to lead, develop, and motivate a commercial team.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Attributes
- Experience within renewable energy sectors such as grid connections, BESS, or substations.
- Familiarity with UK construction payment law and security mechanisms.
