An exciting opportunity has opened for an Commercial Manager to join a growing technology business based in Cambridge.
This is a broad and varied commercial role, working across contracts, commercial risk, compliance, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.
The position would suit someone with a background in commercial management, contracts, legal, procurement or a similar environment who is looking to develop their career within a growing technology business.
The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will support a range of commercial activities across the business, helping to manage contractual obligations, identify risks and support new and existing business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements
- Managing agreements throughout their lifecycle
- Supporting contract renewals and contractual obligations
- Conducting due diligence and onboarding activities
- Supporting commercial negotiations and contract changes
- Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risk
- Supporting bids, tenders and new business opportunities
- Working with internal teams and external stakeholders on commercial matters
- Supporting compliance and regulatory activities
- Working with Finance and other internal teams on commercial requirements
- Carrying out research into contractual and commercial matters
- Liaising with external advisors where required
- Providing general commercial support across the business

What We're Looking For
We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including commercial, contracts, legal, procurement or bid environments.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Law, Business or a related subject, or equivalent experience
- Experience working with contracts or commercial activities
- An understanding of contractual and commercial risk
- Good analytical and research skills
- An understanding of how commercial decisions can impact a business
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive and commercially minded approach
- The confidence to work independently and make informed decisions
