Role Description
The Commercial Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Fradley. This role is responsible for overseeing commercial activities across projects, including managing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, and ensuring that projects meet profitability and cost targets. The Commercial Manager will lead contract negotiations, review and administer contracts, manage risk and variations, and maintain accurate commercial records and reports.

- Collaborating with project managers and site teams
- Liaising with clients and suppliers
- Preparing bids and commercial proposals
- Supporting strategic business planning and pricing decisions
The role also involves:
- Guiding and mentoring team members
- Promoting best practices in commercial management
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
Qualifications
- Strong Commercial Management and Contract Management skills, with experience handling project finances, contracts, and risk.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, assess project performance, and support sound commercial decisions.
- Business Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and contributing to commercial strategy and growth.
- Effective Team Management capabilities, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and supporting staff development.
- Relevant experience in construction, interiors contracting, or a related sector is highly beneficial, particularly with multi-site or blue-chip client projects.
- A degree or professional qualification in quantity surveying, commercial management, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and relevant project or finance software, are advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Fradley, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a proactive, detail-focused approach to commercial risk and opportunity.
