Commercial Manager
Broad Oak based role (Hybrid 2-3 days per week on site)
£66.63 per hour Umbrella Inside IR35
6 Month Contract initially
This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK’s leading Defence organisations based in Broad Oak. Hybrid working 2-3 days per week on site.
About the Role
The role holder will primarily be managing a challenging commercial landscape with our Australian customer. The project is hugely important for the business and it is important for Combat Systems to be on the front foot with our role in this wider programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure robust commercial management, working across business boundaries to manage dependencies across contracts.
- Stakeholder management, managing strategic priorities, reporting, and effective contact management are key to ensuring Core activities are completed and contractual obligations are adhered to.
- Provide strong commercial advice and guidance to the team, manage change, and support other commercial colleagues who will be working on the programme, adjacent programmes and their impact, contract through TAFs.
- Manage the Commercial governance and key priorities.
- Focus on augmenting their experience and understanding of the commercial role to manage and deliver specific tasks, provide support to operations, and offer guidance and support for the development of individuals in more junior roles.

Knowledge
- Solid commercial judgment and an ability to operate and deliver results simply in what can be a complex environment.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Able to operate with minimal guidance, direction, and supervision.
- Experience in operational Commercial roles, in particular contract management of large and complex inter-dependent and/or international programmes.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to take on-board multiple views and generate acceptable solutions.
- Critical thinking and problem solving, with the ability to take people on the journey with you.

Qualifications
- Degree educated in law/ a business adjacent field, and/or with a minimum of 5 years recent experience and proven track record in a commercial front-facing operational role.
