Commercial Manager

Are you ready to lead more than contracts? We're looking for a Commercial Manager who thrives on influencing and developing people, building high-performing teams and driving commercial success. If you're an experienced commercial leader we'd love to hear from you.

As our Capital Product continues to grow across the South East, we're looking for a commercially driven leader to help shape our future success.

You'll lead the commercial performance of a portfolio of planned investment and refurbishment contracts while coaching and developing a team of Surveyors. Working closely with operational leaders and customers, you'll create the right balance between commercial excellence, strong relationships and people development.

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Manager You'll

  • Lead the commercial performance of a portfolio of Capital works contracts.
  • Develop and mentor Surveyors, helping build a high-performing commercial team for the future.
  • Provide commercial insight to drive successful decision-making, manage risk and maximise opportunities.
  • Partner with operational teams to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers and communities.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
  • Champion continuous improvement and help shape the future growth of our commercial function.

About You

This is an opportunity for a commercially astute leader who enjoys developing people, influencing positive change and being part of an ambitious, people-first business where your impact will be felt across both the contracts you support and the careers you help shape.

You'll be someone who leads through influence, collaboration and credibility, building strong relationships and creating an environment where Surveyors can thrive. Detail-driven and commercially minded, you'll balance strategic thinking with the ability to challenge, coach and support others to achieve their best.

You'll Bring

  • Experience in a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar commercial leadership role.
  • Strong commercial and contractual expertise, with a keen eye for detail and performance.
  • A track record of coaching, mentoring and developing Surveyors and commercial talent.
  • The ability to build trust, influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes.
  • A collaborative, people-first approach to leadership.
  • Experience within social housing, refurbishment, construction, property services or a related sector would be advantageous.
