Commercial Manager – M&E
Manchester | £85,000–£87,000 + £6,000 car allowance + package | Hybrid
You have built the commercial capability. Now take ownership of a portfolio where your decisions shape project performance, your team has your backing, and the work is secured well beyond the next tender cycle.
The Resolute Group is partnering with a Tier 1 M&E contractor with a record order book through to 2027 and a clear programme of growth over the next 18 months. They are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial delivery across a North West portfolio of new-build and refurbishment M&E projects, valued between £5m and £20m.
This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely influential role: leading a small team of Quantity Surveyors, working closely with clients and supply-chain partners, and taking commercial ownership from project award through to final account and handover.
The role
You will lead the commercial management of multiple M&E projects across the Manchester and North West region. You will be trusted to protect margin, drive cash flow, support your team, and ensure every project is commercially controlled from start to finish.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
