What are we looking for in this position?
We are looking for a commercially astute and hands-on Commercial Manager to take ownership of the commercial position across one or more complex healthcare projects. Working closely with our Project Director, delivery teams, clients and supply chain, you will protect margin, manage contractual and financial risk, and provide the clear reporting needed for confident decision-making. You will be responsible for:
- Lead the commercial management of live projects, including budgets, forecasts, valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
- Administer contractual obligations under NEC and JCT forms, including notices, compensation events, variations, early warnings and change control.
- Procure, negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier packages to support delivery while protecting margin.
- Identify, record and escalate commercial risks and opportunities, ensuring decisions are supported by clear evidence.
- Prepare clear reporting on cashflow, gross profit, liabilities, claims, risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with project and site teams, travelling to project locations when required to resolve issues and maintain momentum.

What will we need you to have?
This is a contractor-side role for someone who combines strong commercial discipline with a practical, responsive approach. You will need:
- Contractor or subcontractor-side commercial experience, rather than solely client-side advisory experience.
- Practical NEC experience. Experience of both NEC and JCT contracts would be preferred.
- A strong track record of managing risk, payment, subcontractors, change and project margin.
- A methodical approach, strong IT skills and confidence maintaining accurate commercial records.
- A Hungry, Humble and Smart mindset, with the ambition to improve how we work while contributing as part of a close team.
- The ability to work from our Victoria office as required and travel to project sites.
