Senior Commercial Manager / Commercial Manager
Civil Engineering | Infrastructure | Energy | Glasgow

A senior commercial opportunity with a leading Scottish civil engineering contractor
We're looking to speak with experienced commercial professionals who are ready for their next move within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector.
This is a broad opportunity, with the exact scope and level of responsibility shaped around the experience of the successful individual.
You'll work across major civil engineering, infrastructure and energy projects, providing commercial and contractual input from tender and pre-construction through to delivery.
The role
Depending on your experience, you'll be involved in:
- Commercial and contract management
- NEC contract administration and negotiation
- Procurement and tender strategy
- Commercial risk and opportunity management
- Early warnings, compensation events and change
- Client, subcontractor and supply chain negotiations
- Cost and commercial reporting
- Pre-construction and project mobilisation
- Claims and dispute avoidance
- Supporting project teams throughout delivery
- Developing commercial processes and best practice

Who we're looking for
You may currently be a:
- Senior Commercial Manager
- Commercial Manager
- Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Pre-Construction Manager
- Senior Contracts Manager
You'll have strong experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or major construction, with solid NEC experience and the commercial judgement to work confidently with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders.
