Commercial Manager
Location: UK (hybrid, with some travel to sites and clients)

About the opportunity
Our client is a well-established, international provider of scientific testing and compliance services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Following continued growth, they are looking for a Commercial Manager to take ownership of commercial performance and help shape the next stage of development for their UK operations.
This is a varied, high-visibility role, suited to someone who enjoys building client relationships and turning a strong technical offering into sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own and grow commercial performance across a portfolio of pharmaceutical and life sciences clients
- Develop and deliver a commercial strategy aligned with wider business objectives
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify new opportunities, markets, and service areas, and convert them into revenue
- Work closely with operational, technical, and quality teams to ensure client needs are understood and delivered against
- Lead pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Manage the sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership
- Represent the business at industry events, client meetings, and networking forums
- Where relevant, lead or support commercial team members

About you
- Proven commercial, business development, or account management experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or a related regulated testing or services environment
- Working knowledge of GMP-regulated environments and the wider quality and compliance landscape
- Track record of achieving targets and growing revenue
- Strong communicator and negotiator, comfortable engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Commercially astute, with a structured, proactive approach to planning and delivery
- Right to work in the UK
