The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Commercial Manager to join a food manufacture at an exciting stage of its growth.

This is a key commercial position with responsibility for developing and delivering the customer strategy, driving profitable sales growth and building long-term relationships across the UK and European markets.

Working closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing and the wider business, you will take ownership of existing customer relationships while proactively identifying and converting new B2B opportunities.

The ambition is clear: to continue building reputation and establish the business as a first-choice supplier within the UK and European market.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering the commercial agenda. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering budgeted sales volumes while effectively managing cost and margin.
  • Developing and executing customer and sales strategies aligned with the company's long-term growth plans.
  • Identifying, developing and winning new B2B customers and contracts.
  • Managing, retaining and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Building strong, sustainable relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Developing effective negotiation strategies and commercial plans for key customers.
  • Identifying new markets, opportunities and routes for growth.
  • Monitoring market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity.
  • Producing realistic sales forecasts using data, market conditions and customer insight.
  • Monitoring sales and margin performance and taking action where required to protect profitability.
  • Leading customer-focused commercial projects that generate additional volume and value.
  • Working collaboratively across the business to ensure the customer remains at the heart of decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
