COMMERCIAL MANAGER Location: Thrapston, Northamptonshire On-Site 5 Days

Select Talent Group (STG) is partnering with Saica Pack to recruit a Commercial Manager for its high-volume corrugated packaging facility in Thrapston.

This is not a traditional sales role. It is a senior, site-based commercial position focused on pricing, margin, customer profitability and commercial decision-making.

THE ROLE

  • Lead the commercial strategy for the Thrapston manufacturing site.
  • Take ownership of pricing, margins and customer profitability.
  • Analyse costs, market conditions and operational data to support commercial decisions.
  • Develop and maintain effective pricing models and commercial policies.
  • Review customer agreements, contracts and commercial terms.
  • Identify margin risks and opportunities across the existing customer portfolio.
  • Work closely with sales, finance and operations on quotations and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure commercial commitments reflect the plant’s capacity, capabilities and cost base.
  • Provide accurate commercial reporting, forecasting and performance analysis.
  • Support the Plant Director as a key member of the site leadership team.

  • You will have strong commercial, pricing or margin-management experience within packaging, manufacturing or a related industrial environment.
  • You will be analytical, financially astute and confident challenging commercial decisions.

Experience within corrugated packaging, paper, print or flexible packaging would be particularly advantageous, equally, volume manufacturing would be beneficial.
