We have an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to lead our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering our SSE contract. This is a chance to work closely with a our client, ensuring commercial success, managing risks, and driving profitability. The Role: As Commercial Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring contracts run efficiently, risks are managed, and profitability is maximised.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

  • Leading and developing a team of quantity surveyors and commercial administrators
  • Providing commercial leadership across contracts, ensuring full compliance with rights and obligations
  • Shaping and implementing commercial strategies to drive business success
  • Managing budgets, cost controls, and financial performance
  • Overseeing contract negotiations and ensuring favourable terms
  • Leading cost value reconciliation and cash flow management
  • Resolving complex contractual matters and disputes
  • Ensuring subcontractor agreements are commercially sound

We would love to hear from you if…

  • You are an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in commercial management within the utilities sector.
  • The ideal candidate will have significant management experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • You should be a confident communicator with the ability to present complex commercial data to stakeholders at all levels.
  • A deep understanding of NEC3 contracts, particularly Options A & C, is essential. You will also need strong financial and commercial acumen, with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment requires resourcefulness, resilience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • You’ll also be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving business success.
