🏗️ Commercial Manager | Workplace Design & Build

📍 Farringdon, London

💰 £30,000–£50,000 DOE

📈 Genuine progression | Direct exposure to senior leadership

We’re partnering with a growing, owner-led workplace design & build business in Central London to find an ambitious Commercial Manager who wants to build a serious career in the commercial side of construction.

This isn’t a role where you’ll disappear into a large commercial team.

You’ll work closely with the Founder and senior team, taking real ownership across estimating, cost planning and pre-construction while getting exposure to the full journey of creative commercial fit-out projects.

For someone early in their career who is commercially sharp, confident with numbers and hungry to progress, there’s a lot of opportunity here.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing detailed project cost plans and estimates
  • Building cost breakdowns and budgets in Excel
  • Obtaining and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Reviewing briefs, drawings and project documentation
  • Managing commercial viability throughout pre-construction
  • Working closely with designers, consultants and subcontractors
  • Supporting procurement schedules and pre-contract programmes
  • Attending client meetings, presentations and site visits
  • Helping ensure projects transition smoothly from enquiry to delivery
  • Protecting project margins through accurate estimating and smart commercial decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who could be a great fit?

You might already have around 12–24 months’ experience within:

  • Quantity Surveying
  • Estimating
  • Pre-Construction
  • Commercial Management
  • Construction / Commercial Fit-Out

But we're not interested in ruling out talented people because their CV doesn't follow the traditional route.

If you’re analytical, commercially minded, excellent with Excel and genuinely interested in construction, we’d still like to hear from you.

You’ll need to be organised, confident communicating with different stakeholders and comfortable taking responsibility. Most importantly, you’ll have the appetite to learn quickly and grow with the business.

Why consider it?

You’ll be joining a small, established and ambitious business where your contribution will be visible from day one.

There are no unnecessary layers, you’ll work directly with decision-makers, get hands-on exposure to exciting workplace projects and have the opportunity to take on significantly more responsibility as the company grows.

If you’re looking for somewhere you can learn, take ownership and build a long-term commercial career, this could be a very good move.
