Commercial Manager – Education PFI
Location: London
Salary: Up to £75,000 (DOE) + package
Sector: Education / PFI
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a well-established team supporting a portfolio of education contracts across London.
This is a stable, steady-state commercial management position, working across established contracts and maintaining strong relationships with clients and operational teams.
PFI experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential. We are also open to candidates with strong post-contract commercial experience from related sectors such as facilities management, infrastructure, outsourcing, or public sector services.
The Role
As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing commercial management of contracts, ensuring contractual commitments are delivered and commercial opportunities and risks are effectively managed.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing contracts throughout the post-contract lifecycle
- Monitoring contractual performance, obligations, and financial outcomes
- Managing variations, change control, and commercial negotiations
- Supporting the resolution of contractual issues
- Building positive relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure contract performance
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Reviewing contractual requirements and ensuring compliance
- Providing commercial reporting and insight to senior management
About You

We are looking for someone with solid commercial or contract management experience, ideally gained within FM, infrastructure, outsourcing, education, public sector, or a similar environment.
You will ideally have:
- Strong post-contract commercial experience
- Good understanding of contracts, variations, and commercial risk
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Experience working with customers and operational teams
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple commercial priorities effectively
PFI experience is desirable but not essential.
This would suit a Commercial Manager looking for a stable, established portfolio with a strong focus on relationship management and effective contract delivery.
