Commercial Manager
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid working with travel to customer and manufacturing sites)
Salary: £45-50k + Car allowance + Bonus

We're looking for a commercially minded Commercial Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their FMCG commercial career, working closely with Aldi and Lidl across a dynamic and fast-moving category. You'll gain exposure to customer management, category insights, product launches, and commercial strategy, while playing a key role in delivering growth for both our customers and our business.
The Opportunity
This role sits within a highly visible and fast-paced commercial team, supporting the management of key customer relationships and helping to drive sales growth across our Fried category, while also supporting Pastry and Outsourced product areas.
You'll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver successful product launches, and ensure excellent commercial execution. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is analytical, proactive, relationship-focused, and ready to take the next step in their commercial career.
What You'll Be Doing
Customer & Commercial Management
- Support the delivery of joint business plans with Aldi and Lidl across key categories.
- Build strong day-to-day relationships with customer contacts.
- Prepare for customer meetings, performance reviews, innovation presentations, and events.
- Monitor sales performance, identifying commercial risks and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and submit daily supply reports.
- Support the account team in delivering excellent customer service and commercial performance.

Category & Insight
- Analyse sales data, customer performance, and market trends.
- Identify opportunities to drive sales, profitability, and category growth.
- Support the development of category-led customer presentations and selling stories.
- Work closely with Category, NPD, and Development teams to create compelling customer propositions.
Project & Launch Management
- Support the successful launch of new products into Aldi and Lidl.
- Coordinate activity across Supply Chain, Finance, Category, Technical, and NPD teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to customer expectations.
Internal Collaboration
- Build strong relationships across the business.
- Support forecasting and demand planning activities.
- Work collaboratively to achieve service, sales, and growth objectives.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from commercially driven individuals who enjoy working with customers, analysing data, and delivering results.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within an FMCG, food manufacturing, retail, category, commercial, sales, or account management environment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into actions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence presenting information to customers and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility to travel to customer and manufacturing sites across the UK when required.
