Commercial Manager (Cost & Forecasting) (Sizewell C)
Job Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the programme budget, cost baseline, and integrated financial forecast.
- Maintain robust Estimate to Complete and Estimate at Completion positions.
- Translate operational resource plans, material volumes, and activity forecasts into financial projections.
- Monitor actual expenditure against budget and forecast and explain material variances.
- Maintain visibility of purchase orders, subcontract commitments, accruals, and financial liabilities.
- Lead the cost-control element of month end and maintain accurate cost-to-complete projections.
- Track the financial impact of approved, anticipated and emerging change, including NEC3 Compensation Events.
- Maintain clear visibility of revenue, cost, margin, risks, and opportunities.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Project Controls, Operations, and the Client Commercial Team.

Qualifications
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at working and management levels.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial-modelling capability.
- CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate (MAPS), or project-accepted equivalent.
- Ability to satisfy all Sizewell C security, vetting, and site access requirements.
- Relevant commercial, cost-management, quantity-surveying, or finance qualification, or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- RICS, AAT, CIMA, ACCA, or another relevant professional qualification.
- A working knowledge of:
- Major infrastructure, construction, or nuclear programme environments.
- NEC contract environments and associated governance.
- Logistics and supply-chain commercial models.
- Project controls, financial reporting, and cost-management systems.

Experience
- Strong project cost management, commercial controls, or financial forecasting experience.
- Experience within logistics, construction, infrastructure, or a comparable major programme.
- Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and cost-to-complete capability.
- Demonstrable experience maintaining Estimate to Complete and Estimate at Completion positions.
- Strong understanding of accruals, commitments, month-end reporting, and financial reconciliation.
- Experience maintaining revenue, cost, margin, and change visibility across a complex contract.
- Excellent numerical and analytical capability with strong Excel and financial-modelling skills.
- Ability to interrogate complex data, explain variance, and identify forward financial risk.
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts, preferably NEC3, is desirable.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to operational, commercial, and client stakeholders.
