Commercial Manager (Cost & Forecasting) at Sizewell C

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Commercial Manager (Cost & Forecasting) at Sizewell C.

The Commercial Manager (Cost & Forecasting) is responsible for cost control, financial forecasting, and forward cost visibility across the Sizewell C Lead Logistics Partner programme. The role ensures operational plans, supplier commitments, actual expenditure and contractual change are accurately reflected in the financial position. Working with the Supply Chain & Procurement Commercial Manager, the post holder provides reliable budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and commercial insight to support programme, client and Wilson James decision-making.

What Do We Need From You

  • Strong project cost management, commercial controls or financial forecasting experience.
  • Experience within logistics, construction, infrastructure or a comparable major programme.
  • Advanced budgeting, forecasting and cost-to-complete capability.
  • Demonstrable experience maintaining Estimate to Complete and Estimate at Completion positions.
  • Strong understanding of accruals, commitments, month-end reporting and financial reconciliation.
  • Experience maintaining revenue, cost, margin and change visibility across a complex contract.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical capability with strong Excel and financial-modelling skills.
  • Ability to interrogate complex data, explain variance and identify forward financial risk.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts, preferably NEC3, is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to operational, commercial and client stakeholders.
  • Relevant commercial, cost-management, quantity-surveying or finance qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all working and management levels.
  • CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate (MAPS) – must be obtained before the start date.

Desirable

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • RICS, AAT, CIMA, ACCA or another relevant professional qualification.
  • A working knowledge of:
    • Major infrastructure, construction or nuclear programme environments
    • NEC contract environments and associated governance
    • Logistics and supply-chain commercial models
    • Project controls, financial reporting and cost-management systems
