Commercial Manager

We're supporting an established energy infrastructure business looking for a Commercial Manager to lead commercial activity across its southern region.

Working across live construction and substation projects, you’ll take ownership of contract management, financial reporting, cost control and cash management. You’ll also lead and develop the commercial team, working closely with project delivery teams and advising senior leadership.

This would suit someone with a strong construction background who can combine strategic oversight with hands on commercial management, negotiate confidently and protect project profitability.

The role

  • Lead commercial strategy and reporting across the region.
  • Provide commercial input into tenders and contract negotiations.
  • Manage customer contracts and supply chain agreements.
  • Oversee cost control, cash management and monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  • Negotiate with customers’ commercial, operational and project teams.
  • Manage contractual correspondence, risks and disputes.
  • Establish effective commercial procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Lead, support and develop commercial personnel.
  • Advise Directors on commercial performance and contractual matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
