Torbay Pharma - Commercial Manager - Exports

Torbay Pharma are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager - Exports to join our team based in Devon. This is a full-time and permanent role in which the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Torbay Pharma's export sales plan by developing selected markets, managing existing distributor relationships, and converting opportunities into profitable revenue.

We are flexible on location for the role and open to hybrid, remote, or office-based working.

About The Role

Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a great opportunity to make a big impact. You will work across Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and Customer Services to progress opportunities from initial assessment through contracting, registration, launch, and ongoing account/distributor management.

What you can expect in a Technical Support Technician role at TP:

  • Deliver the export sales plan in line with TP's revenue targets and manufacturing capacity
  • Assess and prioritise international markets, distributors, customers, and product opportunities using market and competitor insight
  • Identify, appoint, and develop suitable distribution partners, completing appropriate commercial due diligence
  • Prepare business cases including pricing proposals and margin assessments for new and existing opportunities
  • Negotiate and manage distribution, supply, and commercial agreements
  • Manage export accounts, customer reviews, growth plans, and day-to-day commercial issues
  • Prepare proposals and tender submissions that balance customer needs, return, risk, and operational feasibility
  • Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline, forecasts, and concise performance updates for the CCO and leadership team
  • Coordinate registrations, launch readiness, demand planning, and lifecycle activities with internal teams and partners
  • Represent TP at customer meetings, industry events, and market visits, ensuring activity meets legal, ethical, and company requirements

What Are We Looking For

  • Relevant experience in export sales, international business development, account management, or distributor management within pharmaceuticals and/or healthcare
  • A track record of developing customer accounts or markets and contributing to profitable revenue growth
  • Practical experience of pricing, forecasting, proposals, commercial negotiation, and contract management
  • Commercially aware and delivery-focused, with the ability to turn plans into practical action
  • Confident in building productive relationships with distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Sound judgement in pricing, margin, negotiation, risk, and customer management with the ability to interpret market, financial, and operation information to make clear recommendations
  • Able to coordinate cross-functional activity & influence without direct authority
  • Clear written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at different levels
  • Organised, resilient, and adaptable when working across markets, cultures, and time zones
  • Collaborative, customer-focused, and committed to compliance and continuous improvement
  • Ability to travel internationally
