Commercial Manager

Location: Livingston with travel across Scotland
Employment: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive plus car allowance and benefits

Are you ready to step into a role where you can genuinely influence performance, outcomes and client relationships? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who delivers services across a secure, high-profile estate in Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of a key account and make a meaningful impact. More than a commercial role, this position offers the chance to shape strategy, drive performance and contribute to long-term success.

The Role:

As Commercial Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial performance of a major estates account. You will ensure financial efficiency, contractual compliance and operational success across the estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the commercial performance of a designated account, ensuring profitability and value delivery.
  • Manage and interpret Schedule of Rates, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance.
  • Drive cost control, forecasting and reporting to maintain strong financial discipline.
  • Lead contract administration, ensuring all terms are met and risks are effectively managed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and client-side.
  • Identify commercial opportunities to improve margins and enhance service delivery.
  • Support operational teams with commercial insight to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Lead negotiations and resolve commercial disputes proactively and professionally.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor.
  • A strong background in facilities management, construction or maintenance environments.
  • Solid experience working with Schedule of Rates contracts.
  • Strong commercial awareness, alongside excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • A confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional accreditation such as RICS, CIPS or similar is advantageous.
