Job Description: Commercial Manager
The Commercial Manager is responsible for driving advertising and content revenue for Customer Experience Magazine (CXM), Awards International's flagship media platform, selling across CXM's full range of advertising and sponsorship packages to CX vendors and industry brands, growing CXM's revenue as a standalone publication.
Key Responsibilities
Advertising & Content Sales
- Sell across CXM's advertising and sponsorship portfolio, spanning brand visibility campaigns, demand generation campaigns, and sponsorship opportunities aligned to CXM's editorial calendar.
- Sell event coverage campaigns, both public multi-vendor events and single-vendor/branded events.
- Align sponsor and vendor content with CXM's 2026 Editorial Calendar (CX Trend and CX Tech tracks) to maximize relevance and timing.
- Look for other sales opportunities when relevant across awards programmes and events.

Pipeline & Account Management
- Own the full 360 sales cycle for all CXM packages, from first outreach through proposal, negotiation, closing and renewal.
- Maintain accurate CRM records to inform outreach, forecasting and proposal development.
- Use CXM's audience data (reach, seniority, geography, industry) to build tailored proposals demonstrating ROI to prospective advertisers.
Industry Presence
- Attend industry events on behalf of CXM to support sales and client relationships; travel may be required.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong track record in B2B media, publishing or advertising sales, ideally within a CX, AI or technology publication.
- Hands-on experience with outbound sales tools, including Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Dripify and CRM, plus comfort running video calls on Zoom/Teams.
- Confident proposal writing and commercial negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and manage a prospecting pipeline across multiple outreach channels (email, LinkedIn, phone), crafting messaging and hooks that convert.
- Ability to translate audience and content data into a compelling advertiser pitch.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and effective working remotely.
