Commercial Manager – Renewable Energy / Solar PV

Greater Manchester | £50,000–£60,000 + bonus + company vehicle

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and growing renewable energy business in Greater Manchester, specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of Solar PV systems across public and private sector markets.

This is a newly created strategic role, offering the opportunity to have genuine influence over the next phase of the company's growth.

The Role

You will take ownership of the commercial growth agenda, developing a stronger and more diversified pipeline across both public and private sector markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the commercial growth strategy
  • Building and managing a robust pipeline of new opportunities
  • Increasing penetration of the private commercial solar market
  • Developing long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Identifying and developing strategic partnerships
  • Leading commercial negotiations, pricing and costing activity
  • Leading and coordinating tender submissions and framework applications
  • Developing new revenue streams and market opportunities
  • Supporting the wider leadership team with commercial strategy and decision-making

About You

We are looking for an experienced commercial professional with a strong background in renewable energy, solar, energy, infrastructure or a closely related sector.

You are likely to have experience in:

  • Commercial management, business development or strategic partnerships
  • Developing and converting new business pipelines
  • Commercial strategy and revenue growth
  • Pricing, costing and commercial negotiations
  • Public sector tenders and framework opportunities
  • Building relationships with senior decision-makers
  • Developing long-term client and strategic partner relationships

Experience within Solar PV would be highly advantageous, although candidates from the wider energy or infrastructure sectors with strong commercial credentials will also be considered.
