About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a successful and growing construction business delivering a range of residential and development projects across Scotland. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you'll take responsibility for the commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring robust financial control, effective procurement, and the successful delivery of developments from appraisal through to final account.
You'll oversee all aspects of commercial management, including development appraisals, tender analysis, subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, cost forecasting, cashflow management, CVRs, and final accounts. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, you'll drive project profitability, manage commercial risk, and provide accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making. The role will also involve mentoring and developing junior commercial team members while helping to shape commercial best practice across the business.

Requirements
The successful applicant will currently be operating as a Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor, or an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking their first senior leadership role. Applicants should possess strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and proven experience managing projects through the full commercial lifecycle.
