Commercial Manager
We launch international food and drink brands into UK retail and food service. Brands that are established at home and almost unknown here — that is the whole job.
Product Chain has been bringing brands into British grocery for 30 years. We work across grocery, convenience, wholesale and discount, and we only ever take one brand per category, so every brand we represent gets our full attention.
We are looking for a Commercial Manager to own a small number of those brands and build their UK distribution from a standing start.
The brands
- Breakfast cereal and snack bars
- Italian pasta sauces and ambient grocery
- Speciality coffee and hot beverages
- Premium crackers, preserves and condiments
- Chilled loaded naans, food to go and convenience

What you'd do
- Buyer meetings and range review submissions
- Negotiating listings, and defending them at the next review
- Reading weekly rate of sale and acting on it
- Forecasting by customer and by SKU
- Running display and FSDU programmes end to end
- Owning the numbers you put your name to
Not a book of twenty accounts. Not a shared inbox. You would hold a small number of brands and be accountable for what happens to them.

What we're looking for
- UK grocery or convenience account experience — you have sat across the table from a buyer
- You have run a range review submission before
- Comfortable with EPOS data and a P&L
- An ambient food or drink background helps
- Happy owning an account rather than supporting one
- Willing to travel for buyer meetings and trade shows
What we offer
- £50,000 basic
