Dalkia Engineering is a leading M&E installation and engineering business delivering high-quality building services and engineering solutions across healthcare, defence, government, aviation, industrial and infrastructure sectors. As part of our exciting growth plans, we are expanding our presence across the North West region and are seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Commercial Manager to play a pivotal leadership role in this journey.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the Regional Director, helping shape and grow a new regional operation while driving commercial performance across a portfolio of complex and high-value projects.

What you'll be doing
As Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial strategy, governance and performance of the North West region. You will lead all commercial activities from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while protecting margins, managing risk and supporting sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the commercial function across multiple projects and programmes.
- Developing and implementing regional commercial strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Managing revenue, margin, cash flow and cost control performance.
- Reviewing project budgets, forecasts, CVRs and final accounts.
- Managing variations, claims and contractual entitlements.
- Supporting major tenders and negotiated opportunities.
- Reviewing contract terms and risk profiles.
- Leading dispute resolution and commercial negotiations.
- Building and developing a high-performing commercial team.
- Working closely with operational leaders, clients and supply chain partners to drive successful project outcomes.
What you'll bring
Are you an experienced commercial leader with a proven track record within the M&E sector?

You'll bring:
- Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role within an M&E installation organisation.
- Experience managing commercial performance within a region generating approximately £30m turnover.
- Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
- Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and managing commercial teams.
