Commercial Manager
Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee cost management and contractual governance on a major project based in Grangemouth. This role is ideal for someone with a strong EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) background who thrives on managing risk and ensuring compliance across all commercial activities. Client Overview
Our client is a well-established engineering services and solutions provider, committed to delivering safe and sustainable projects across the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead all commercial activities, covering estimating, cost management, planning and contracts management
- Supervise and support contract teams including Estimating, Cost and Planning personnel
- Coordinate and escalate all commercial and contractual matters for approval in line with governance processes
- Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions where required
- Ensure compliance with agreed norms, delegation of authority and internal standards across all contract activities
- Oversee planning and scheduling practices, including Work Breakdown Structures and coding
- Review project controls and schedule reports, applying lessons learned to improve outcomes
- Manage reporting requirements and lead functional reviews with senior stakeholders

Must-have Requirements
- Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience within Project Planning, Estimating and Cost Control
- Previous experience in a similar senior commercial role within EPC environments
- Strong understanding of engineering discipline interfaces, project management and construction
- Proficiency with planning software
- Proven leadership capability, with experience managing and developing teams
Nice-to-have Skills
- Familiarity with business systems implementation and process optimisation
- Previous experience within oil & gas, renewables or related engineering sectors
