Key Notes

Complex contract and supplier-management experience is the main requirement for this post-award commercial role. You’ll oversee strategic suppliers, performance, risk, change control, claims and continuous improvement across rolling stock, highways, signalling and construction portfolios. The permanent Band 3 position is based at Palestra, pays £60,000 and uses TfL’s 50% hybrid pattern; applications close 3 October 2026.

What You'll Work On

  • Lead post-award contract and supplier management across high-value agreements supporting TfL operations, engineering programmes and infrastructure delivery.
  • Monitor contractual obligations, performance indicators and benefits, holding suppliers accountable while maintaining constructive strategic relationships.
  • Manage commercial risk, governance, change control, variations, claims, disputes and amendments through controlled negotiation and documented decisions.
  • Identify value-for-money and continuous-improvement opportunities with operations, engineering, finance and legal teams across the contract lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why This Role Matters

TfL’s operational and infrastructure agreements include supplier obligations beyond contract award, with performance reviews establishing whether delivery is meeting the terms and measures agreed. Variations and claims can change the cost and scope of TfL contracts, with documented assessments and negotiations providing the basis for decisions on proposed amendments.
