Commercial Manager – National Accounts

Location: Manchester or Leeds

Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE) + package

Sector: Government / Facilities Management

About the Role

We are looking for a Commercial Manager to support a major national government contract, working as part of a wider commercial team responsible for the ongoing management of a significant portfolio.

The role focuses on the post-contract management of a large-scale public sector contract, valued at approximately £200 million.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Manager looking to develop their experience within a large, complex public sector environment.

The Role

You will support the commercial management of the account, working closely with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure contractual and commercial obligations are effectively managed.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the post-contract commercial management of a major government account
  • Managing contractual obligations, performance, and compliance
  • Supporting variations, change control, and commercial negotiations
  • Monitoring commercial risks and opportunities
  • Working with operational teams to resolve contractual and commercial issues
  • Maintaining strong relationships with government clients and key stakeholders
  • Supporting commercial reporting and governance
  • Reviewing contractual performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Ensuring commercial processes and contractual requirements are followed

About You

We are looking for a Commercial Manager with experience in post-contract commercial or contract management, ideally within FM, outsourcing, infrastructure, or another large-scale service environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience managing contracts or customer accounts post-award
  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual principles
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working with large or complex customers
  • A structured approach to contract management and governance
  • The ability to work across multiple internal and external stakeholders

Experience working with government contracts or CCS frameworks would be particularly advantageous, although this is not essential.

This role would suit someone with a few years of commercial or contract management experience who is looking to build their experience on a major national account.
