Commercial Manager

Location: Liverpool
Salary: £50k to £65k DOE
Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office, 2 from home
Permanent: Full time

We are looking for an organised, proactive Commercial Manager to provide vital operational and governance support to our client’s Chief Commercial Officer. In this central role, you will act as a key link between our client’s commercial, sales, marketing, compliance, and leadership teams ensuring business strategies are turned into smooth daily operations. If you excel at tracking actions, running effective governance meetings, and keeping cross-functional teams aligned in a fast-paced setting, this is a great opportunity to make a real impact on growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for commercial projects. Track key actions, test controls, and manage daily operations to streamline processes and support executive decision-making.
  • Organise quarterly product reviews, log all follow-up actions, and support regulatory standards within a regulated financial services framework.
  • Oversee relationship management with external suppliers, conducting regular review meetings and tracking service levels.
  • Work alongside marketing teams to review campaign effectiveness, monitor return on investment, and check that marketing initiatives match overall business goals.
  • Act as secretary for key sales, marketing, and governance committees setting agendas, taking clear minutes, and following up on agreed actions to keep teams accountable.
  • Provide the sales team with regular reports and performance visibility, helping resolve friction points to make our processes as smooth as possible.
  • Proactively look into market trends and gather data to help develop and test new product ideas and service improvements.

About You:

  • Proven background in a commercial, governance, business operations, or project support role.
  • Prior experience working within a Financial Conduct Authority regulated environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience taking minutes, setting agendas, and coordinating governance meetings or senior leadership reporting.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with the confidence to review data, write simple reports, and track performance outcomes.
  • Ability to build relationships across sales, marketing, compliance, and senior management.

The top end of the salary range is reserved for candidates who bring proven experience in B2B marketing administration and social media coordination from handling CMS and CRM platforms to content repurposing and tracking campaign performance.
