The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial Freight Forwarding professional to join a highly respected, privately owned international logistics business. Working as part of the senior management team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and strengthening the company's market-leading position within international freight forwarding.

With an established reputation in Africa export air & sea freight, this role offers the opportunity to build on existing success while identifying new opportunities across global trade lanes, customers, and logistics services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial growth strategies alongside senior leadership.
- Manage and grow strategic customer accounts across air & sea freight, alongside wider logistics services.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while maximising revenue from existing customers.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, tenders, and contract renewals.
- Build & nurture long-term relationships with key customers and industry partners.
- Monitor account profitability and deliver sustainable business growth.
- Support the continued expansion of the branch's specialist Africa export air & sea freight offering.
About You
We're looking for an energetic, confident, & commercially focused logistics professional with:
- Proven experience within freight forwarding, international logistics, or supply chain services.
- Strong knowledge of air & sea freight operations.
- A successful track record of winning new business and developing key accounts.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements and delivering profitable growth.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of African trade lanes would be advantageous but is not essential.
