SC Cleared Commercial Manager

Location: Bristol
Day Rate: £550 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Contract: 3 months initially, with potential for extension
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a private-sector client operating within the UK Defence industry, based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute, customer-facing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working autonomously within a smaller, highly capable team.

The Role

You will take ownership of commercial activities across a complex defence environment, working closely with customers, internal stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure strong commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate will be someone who can hit the ground running, operate with a high degree of autonomy and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

You will be expected to bring a proactive, "get up and go" attitude, with the confidence to identify issues, engage stakeholders and drive activity forward without requiring significant direction.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
