About The Role
As Commercial Manager for Sponsor Coverage & Executive Partnerships, you will be the client-facing engine of Dialectica's Executive Partnerships business in London. You will build and own relationships across the private equity sponsor community - becoming a trusted, well-networked presence who understands clients' deal pipelines and priorities, and connects them to the right Dialectica solutions across the deal cycle.
You will work most closely with the Executive Partnerships research lead — originating and shaping mandates for the team to execute, and providing quality assurance so that delivery meets client expectations. You will also collaborate across Dialectica's wider PE product teams, bringing the right combination of solutions to each client. Success rests on a strong network, a nose for opportunity, and the drive to convert relationships and pipeline intelligence into commercial outcomes.
This is a predominantly commercial, client-facing role at the front line of our Executive Partnerships business. A significant portion of your time will be spent meeting clients face-to-face and out in the market; the balance will be spent translating those relationships into mandates, working alongside the research lead on delivery, and assuring the quality of the output that reaches our clients.
Your Responsibilities
Sponsor Coverage & Relationship Building
- Build, own and deepen relationships across the private equity sponsor community, becoming a trusted and well-networked presence in the market.
- Stay close to clients' deal flow, pipeline and priorities — trading market intelligence and staying plugged into what is coming to market.
- Spend a significant portion of your time meeting clients face-to-face, travelling as required to build and maintain relationships.
Pipeline Intelligence & Opportunity Identification
- Develop a deep understanding of key clients' deal pipelines, mandates and strategic priorities across the deal cycle.
- Identify opportunities for Dialectica to support clients across our full product and service suite — from pre-deal diligence through to value creation.
- Translate client needs and pipeline intelligence into clearly defined mandates for the Executive Partnerships team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
