Company Description

Working at Boskalis is about creating new horizons and sustainable solutions. In a world where population growth, an increase of global trade, demand for (new) energy and climate change are driving forces, we challenge you to make your mark in finding innovative and relevant solutions for complex infrastructural and marine projects.

In your job you will work for the offshore energy division. Boskalis has one of the largest global fleets of specialized offshore vessels, allowing us to carry out a broad range of offshore activities. We provide innovative and sustainable all-round solutions to tackle major worldwide maritime challenges. Our Offshore Energy division supports sustainable energy solutions such as wind energy as well as traditional fossil facilities. We’re involved in the entire journey from developing and transporting to maintaining and decommissioning these facilities.

Job Description

Make your mark as Commercial Manager for Boskalis Subsea Cables! In this role, you combine commercial relationship management with market intelligence and business development activities. You actively monitor developments in the Offshore Renewables and Interconnector markets, analyze competitors, track vessel activities, and identify emerging opportunities. By translating market insights into actionable commercial strategies, you contribute to the growth and long-term success of Boskalis Subsea Cables.

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you support the acquisition of new projects and help further develop our market approach. You enjoy building relationships with existing and future clients while developing a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs. Imagine identifying an opportunity at an early stage and ultimately seeing your colleagues execute one-of-a-kind international projects such as:

  • Hollandse Kust West Beta with a contract scope that comprises the installation of two 65-kilometer-long export cables that will connect the planned Hollandse Kust West Beta 700 MW offshore wind farm to TenneT’s onshore grid in the Netherlands.
  • Baltic II, with a project scope that comprises the transportation and installation of 107 array cables with a total length of more than 150 kilometers in addition to four 275 kV export cables with a total combined length of nearly 300 kilometers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
