Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple small to medium-scale projects or dedicated scopes within larger projects with minimal supervision.
  • Oversee project delivery across design, commercial, project controls, procurement, and reporting to ensure quality, programme, and client requirements are met.
  • Develop and manage Project Executive Plans, project programmes, budgets, cashflows, risk registers, change controls, and other project documentation.
  • Manage the overall design process, including project briefs, design scopes, programmes, deliverables, reviews, and client approvals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and delays, and develop practical solutions and recovery measures.
  • Support and manage tendering, procurement, vendor selection, technical evaluations, commercial evaluations, and contract administration.
  • Oversee cost management, including estimates, cost plans, monthly cost reports, payment applications, variations, final accounts, benchmarking, and value engineering.
  • Manage change and variation processes, including assessing time and cost impacts and supporting claims management.
  • Lead client, consultant, contractor, and supplier meetings, maintaining strong and professional client relationships.
  • Prepare project reports, tender reports, proposals, presentations, and contract correspondence.
  • Review and approve junior team deliverables, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Maintain high standards of document control, project governance, HSE, and service delivery.
  • Contribute to procurement strategies, cost benchmarking, project presentations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsibility for managing and leading the UK and Europe-based team, driving strong performance, ensuring alignment with company culture and values, and fostering continuous professional growth and development.

  • Proven experience managing multiple small to medium-sized projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including pre- and post-contract phases.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial management, cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and project management.
  • Experience with FIDIC or equivalent forms of contract, including variations, claims, payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Strong understanding of project programmes, critical path, design stages, and construction processes.
  • Experience preparing cost estimates, cost plans, BOQs, cashflow forecasts, cost reports, benchmarking studies, and value engineering.
  • Strong client-facing, communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and document control.
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF markup software, AutoCAD LT, and Causeway.
  • Good understanding of HSE, construction technology, sustainability, and industry best practices.
