Job: Commercial Manager - Tech

Location: Central London

Type: Permanent & Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote)

Start: ASAP

Salary: £60,000 pa

Are you a commercially minded professional with experience managing contracts, mitigating risk, and supported growth within a technology or software environment?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a high-performing commercial team within a market-leading technology business. Working across a diverse portfolio of software solutions and services, you'll play a key role in supporting commercial governance, contract negotiations, bid activity, and strategic customer engagements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to broaden their commercial exposure while working closely with sales, delivery, legal, and leadership teams on complex and high-value opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret, and negotiate commercial contracts for new and existing customers.
  • Support bid and tender submissions, including commercial reviews, risk assessments, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure contractual agreements comply with internal governance, legal requirements, and relevant public sector regulations.
  • Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks while helping to protect business interests.
  • Produce commercial reporting and provide insights on key risks and opportunities.
  • Support contract lifecycle processes, order booking, and contract tracking activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes, controls, and systems.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Commercial Manager, Commercial Analyst, Contracts Manager, or similar commercial contracts role.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, commercial risk, and pricing models.
  • Experience working within technology, software, or SaaS.
  • Knowledge of government procurement frameworks, such as G-Cloud, would be highly advantageous.
  • Financially literate with the ability to analyse margins, costs, and payment structures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and Salesforce.
  • Understanding of SaaS and software licensing models.
  • World Commerce & Contracting qualification (or similar) advantageous but not essential.
