Role Overview

The Managing Quantity Surveyor is a key commercial leader within project teams, providing daily commercial oversight, cost control, and contractual management. The role drives commercial performance across civil engineering projects through accurate reporting, effective risk management, and strong commercial governance.

Role Purpose

To lead commercial management across assigned projects, ensuring robust cost and value reporting, effective subcontract procurement, accurate cash management, and strong contractual control. The role identifies commercial opportunities, protects the business from risk, and ensures compliance with internal processes.

About You

Essential

  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of IChemE/NEC contracts and construction law
  • Experience in commercial management and subcontract procurement
  • Strong forecasting and cost analysis capability
  • Degree qualified
  • Design & build civil engineering experience
  • Strong civil engineering / infrastructure background (utilities / heavy civils)
