Commercial Manager Location: Newmarket, Suffolk Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (depending on experience) Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

A key commercial leadership opportunity within a growing electrical engineering business.

Tec Partners are working with an established electrical engineering manufacturer with a strong track record in delivering high-quality engineered solutions across the UK. Following a period of continued expansion of its engineering and production capabilities, the business is now entering an exciting phase of growth.

As part of this development, they are looking to appoint their first dedicated Commercial Manager to establish and lead the commercial function. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to take ownership of a newly created role, shape commercial strategy and play a key part in building a future sales team.

If you have experience within an engineering SME (electrical, electronic or electromechanical), enjoy a varied, hands-on role and are motivated by both winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships, this could be an excellent next step.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for driving commercial growth, developing new opportunities and strengthening key customer relationships.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
