About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and commercially minded Marketing Designer to join our in-house marketing team.
This role goes beyond traditional graphic design and artwork production. We’re looking for someone who understands marketing and can take a brief, develop the creative direction and turn it into an effective campaign across multiple channels.
The right person will combine strong design skills with a good understanding of customers, products, promotions and what makes people take action.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts and campaigns from initial brief through to final delivery.
- Create engaging marketing materials across digital, print and in-branch channels.
- Design for websites, social media, email, digital screens, branch POS, signage, brochures and promotional materials.
- Think commercially about the message, offer, price hierarchy, customer and call to action.
- Adapt campaigns across different channels while maintaining a consistent message and visual identity.
- Work closely with marketing and commercial teams to understand campaign objectives and priorities.
- Bring creative ideas and recommendations to briefs rather than simply producing artwork to instruction.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing communications.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a busy in-house environment.
- Prepare accurate artwork for print and digital production.
Experience
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in graphic design, marketing design or a similar creative role.
- Experience working within an in-house marketing team, agency, retail, trade or other commercially focused environment.
- Proven experience creating campaigns across both digital and print channels.
- Experience taking a brief from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Experience producing promotional and sales-focused creative would be highly desirable.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating commercial design work and multi-channel campaigns.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

What We’re Looking For
Above all, we’re looking for someone who can think commercially as well as creatively.
If we’re running a product promotion, we want someone who naturally considers the strongest message, target customer, price and offer hierarchy, call to action, and how the campaign should work across the website, social media, branch POS and digital screens.
The successful candidate will be able to turn a rough brief into creative that not only looks good, but communicates clearly, attracts attention and supports customer engagement and sales.
Application Requirements – Mandatory
To be considered for this role, candidates must submit:
- A professional portfolio demonstrating relevant commercial work.
- Examples of:
- Large-format or outdoor advertising visuals.
- Digital screen or motion graphics content.
- Website banners or digital campaign assets.
- Print-ready brochures or marketing materials.
- A minimum of 3–5 completed commercial projects they personally worked on.
Candidates must clearly state their individual contribution to each project.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a practical design assessment relevant to our business.
